The wide range of excellent facilities at High Grange School
High Grange is purpose built to provide education and care for children and young people with ASD. All the buildings are modern and have a low eco-footprint, and are set in 13 acres of green, landscaped grounds near to a quiet residential area. High Grange provides a safe and peaceful setting that enhances pupils’ ability to relax, enjoy and learn.
Classrooms are large and airy and well resourced. There are specialist subject rooms for Art and Design, Design & Technology, Performing Arts, Food Technology, Music, Science and ICT. Our excellent sports facilities include an indoor swimming pool; large gymnasium, fitness suite and outdoor play areas.

High Grange Children’s Home offers modern, home-style living accommodation for up to 36 young people in 6 attractively furnished, purpose-built houses situated within the school grounds. Each house offers spacious accommodation including a fully equipped kitchen, dining areas, lounges and quiet rooms. Each young person will have his or her own bedroom with en-suite facilities and ample built in storage space. The houses are arranged around a pleasant courtyard garden.
The houses are within the school grounds and, although completely separate from the school buildings, are only a short walk away.

High Grange lies on the outskirts of Derby in Mickleover, in a semi- rural location with easy access to the town of Mickleover and the A50 and good access to the M1, the West Midlands via the A38, and Stoke on Trent via the A50. We are just 1.5 hours from London on the train.
