Hands Together for Remembrance Day

Lower Class 1 and Lower Class 2 have been celebrating Remembrance Day by making a poppy using 100 hearts for the petals and the students’ hand prints as the leaves to celebrate 100 years since the end of World War 1.

We have been paying tribute to the 750,000 soldiers that died during the war and a further 1.5 million who were injured.

During our English lesson our students have written a letter to the the fallen soldiers to pay our respect to the men and women that served our country.
