    National Sports Week!

High Grange School Celebrates a Successful National School Sports Week!

High Grange School proudly took part in National School Sports Week during the week commencing 16th June 2025, joining a nationwide celebration of physical activity, sport, and wellbeing in schools. The week encourages schools across the country to commit to 60 minutes of movement a day, helping children and young people enjoy the benefits of being active. High Grange school once again went above and beyond providing 1 hour and 30 minutes of activity for students.

Throughout the week, all students, from our youngest to our oldest, had the opportunity to engage in a variety of exciting afternoon sports activities:

Monday – Quidditch: A magical and energetic start to the week that challenged students' coordination, teamwork, and imaginative play.

Tuesday – Swimming Gala: A fantastic celebration of personal achievement, water confidence, and team spirit.

Wednesday – Hockey: A fast-paced session that encouraged communication, focus, and collaboration on the pitch.

Thursday – Bench Ball: A fun-filled afternoon combining movement, cooperation, and strategy.

The entire week was a huge success and a true reflection of our school’s ACE ethos—Adaptive Thinking, Communication, and Emotional Wellbeing leading to Independence. Students adapted to new challenges, communicated effectively within teams, and built confidence through supportive, active participation.

National School Sports Week wasn't just an opportunity to play—it was a celebration of growth, inclusion, and personal development. We are so proud of the way that our students met each day with energy, enthusiasm, and resilience. High Grange School will continue to promote the value of physical activity in underpinning the wider development of all learners.
